On Saturday, August 7th, the Doyles drove over to Lyon from Geneva. They invited us to come along for the day as they looked for the apartment where Sister Doyle had lived as a missionary when she served in Lyon many years ago. They also wanted to find the place where the church met at the time. In the process, we saw many new places in the city that were amazing. The gorgeous fountain in the first photo is in a small park close to the Rhone River. It has manicured bushes and lots of flowers. We were able to find the street but Sister Doyle was not sure of the address so she had her picture taken in front of a couple of doors. We wandered around the quai by the river and enjoyed the beauty of the area.
