Visiting the ruins at Pompei

After traveling through Naples, we went to Pompei, an ancient city that has been an archaelogical site that was discovered. The city had been completely covered from ash from an eruption of Mt. Vesuvius.

The third photo is a picture of a painting on the wall of a brothel in Pompei. The final photo is of a mummy that was unearthed.

Ruins at Pompei, Italy

These photos show the homes and streets of Pompei. The third photo shows the stones put in the street so the chariots could go through and the people would have a place to walk to get across the street without having to step in the mud. The bottom photo shows the ovens in a bakery.
